National Tequila Day is this weekend, July 24, and it wouldn’t be proper to celebrate the holiday without a nice cold drink. With the temperatures rising, this is the perfect time to pour yourself a Margarita, that classic beverage made with tequila. This refreshing cocktail is a long-time favorite and is sure to please.
Ours is made with union ingredients, which means it will go down that much smoother. Drink responsibly, drink union!
• 1 1/2 oz. tequila (El Jimador, Herradura, Don Eduardo)
• 1 1/2 oz. triple sec
• 1 to 1 1/4 oz. of lime juice
• Salt (Morton, Diamond Crystal,) for the rim of the glass
Shake all the ingredients with cracked ice in a cocktail shaker until the exterior frosts. Strain into a glass over rocks, or “up” into a cocktail glass. Recipe makes one drink.
