Finding American-made gifts is a challenge year round, but when the holidays roll around, it tends to irk us more than usual when we pick up a toy for little Johnny and we know (we know) it’s going to have a “Made in China” stamp on the bottom. We buy a lot of gifts this time of year, and it’s our hope here at Labor 411 that shoppers will make an effort (maybe spend a little more?) to boost the American economy and purchase a gift or two that is Made in the USA.

The union-made aspect makes your gift purchase even stronger for the American economy. And by the way, if you do end up going with toys for the kids, we suggest Hasbro. Many of their famous board games – including Monopoly, Sorry, Candyland and more – are made in Massachusetts by members of RWDSU Local 224.

We’ve put together a list of gift ideas that range from big to small. They’re all made almost entirely here in the USA, and they’re backed by the strength of unions. Check ’em out, check ’em off your list, and browse our full directory for more here.
