There's a saying, "If unions are so bad, why do companies spend billions fighting them?"

Surely it's not to "protect" employees. Companies don't have that kind of love for their workers.

The real reason is that corporations know that they can't do as they please to workers if a union is involved.

That's why companies like Boeing spending millions on union-busting "consultants" and propaganda. They want to have free reign over employees.

Brainwashing videos like the one below are one of the reasons that companies succeed in convincing employees to vote against their interests by saying no to unions.

And, sadly, it works all too often.

The thing that bothers me is what the problem is in America today with our goverment. Unions and the goverment is BY THE PEOPLE. When she talks like that she is talking about you the Boeing workers. You are your union. Simple as that.

She forgot to mention that Boeing can fire you at will. She also didn't say anything about letting older workers go in place of younger workers who may be making less. She also forgot about overtime rights, workers rights, and the fact that the union will defend you against any and all threats made by the company.

I hope the people take her advice before voting in research the union. They will find out 40 hr work week, safe work environment, no child labor, fair wages, even minimum wages, no discrimination on sex, race or religion. All are because of the union. Look what the upper management for Boeing make. FIVE of them combined make over $50 million per YEAR! Not including stock options and perks google it.

What a joke, I don't hear her bitching about the weekends she most likely gets off or fair wages for everyone and 40 hour weeks instead of 60 hour weeks or complaining about her health coverage. All of which the union got for us workers. The only thing that's going to change is your pay rate cause your gonna be making more than you are now, and have representation against getting fired or unsafe workplaces. I'm a union electrician and when I journey out I'll be making a good 111 dollars more than a non union journeyman. And I don't have to beg for a good wage, it's already set and it's set high. Been in both union & non& believe me company's know the billions they spend to eliminate unions is NOT for you the workers benefit(s)& safe work conditions,your only protection in wages,work conditions & safety lyes in your hands & that's like fighting city hall,you'll be left to fend for yourself on safety by contacting oshaa & if they don't like you for what you look like or if you become sick etc they can terminated you for any reason! You have a contract for cable,homeowners & auto ins. Etc etc why would anyone NOT want one for your job that gets you all the above;home,TV,ins. Credit cards etc

So sad! Like Boeing is gonna treat it's Employees with respect, all Corporate lies! It's a time proven fact that Unions PROTECT Workers Rights! Not hold them back!
