Few things are as cringeworthy as corporate anti-union videos. The distortions and lies are on another level completely. Below is a video by Target that tries to convince its employees that unionization would hurt the workers' interests. It's some bizarre stuff indeed.

at first I thought that the subtitles were making fun of the video, then I realized they were just horrific...
Makes me ashamed to show it to someone, and have to say the people who made this are top notch pro-union professionals.

So, I know the actor. He used to live in my neighborhood when I was a kid. This is an old video. He's at least 10-15 years older now. He was the guy (the weatherman Bob) that Dawson's Mom had an affair with on Dawson's Creek. I think Target is recycling an anti-union video they made many years ago, which is why it looks so cheesy. The actor's name is Ric Reitz. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0718680/

They used a hypothetical scenario as a psychological tool to make you look bad for not being able to help a customer? I do not think a Union would even implement a rule like that. Even if they did, who cares. What they failed to mention is the benefits of being a Union member. I livable wage, health and dental care, job protection and job security. A retirement package. Training. ect..... They fail to mention those subjects because it would make a Union membership sound so much more attractive than what they offer now. A lousy part time dead end job with no way to support yourself let alone a family. An employer that tracks your hours so when you get close to any state regulation that would require a employee benefit such as overtime or medical insurance, they simply let you go. But remember, do not entertain forming a union because you may look bad for not helping a customer that is not in your department. That has to be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard about a Union. Target is a Corporation that is managed by people that pay off the politicians and brainwash their employees. Ran by people that are sociopaths and frankly Godless. They do not care about you. You are just another resource strategically placed to generate revenue. Period! 99.9 percent of Corporate America is ran with this same concept. Has been like this for a very long time. Corporate America is a very carefully planned out and executed machine designed by Sociopaths to make the citizens slaves. They paint a pretty picture of being free in a Capitalistic society that is the best in the world. in the bombardment of propaganda that they release to brainwash and distract us. But sadly all they are doing is putting lipstick on a pig. Meanwhile in Fukushima......

My comment is not related to the video. Yes it is absurd and the cheesy acting is like that in all training videos I have ever seen. But what got me was the captioning. It is so far off a Deaf person would never know what the hell is going on. Whomever did this sucks. Lack if a better word. Shouldn't be getting paid for it that's for sure. ;)

http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2014/07/31/target-will-pay-big-for-new-ceo.html

Target Corp. plans to pay new CEO Brian Cornell just a $1.3 million base salary when he starts Aug. 12, but the former PepsiCo Inc. executive stands to make millions more in incentives, stock awards and equity grants.

Minneapolis-based Target will pay Cornell up to $19.3 million over the next four years to make up for what he is giving up at PepsiCo, according to an SEC filing.

Looks like a real TEAM player huh!! What a crock of S..T! Solidarity....

The subtitles are horrific on this video, I know it sounds nitpickey but Unions are supposed to represent excellence, skill, & knowledge in the respective fields, please fix this to keep some egg off of our faces, thanks
