It's tough enough to stop legislation that is backed by corporations with deep pockets. But when you add in the fact that hardly anyone in the general public knows what that legislation is, then it becomes virtually impossible.
Often the weapon against bad legislation is the threat at the ballot box by pissed off voters. Without that threat, however, politicians have little to fear in voting for such an anti-worker law as the TPP. One reporter goes to Times Square to see how much the public really knows about the TPP. And the results are frightening. Check it out for yourself below:
