Throwback Thursday: Marisa Tomei Performs GM Worker’s Words of Action

In the winter of 1936-37, the protest known as the General Motors Sit-Down Strike took place in Flint, MI and marked an historic victory in the fight for fairness in the workplace. For the History Channel, actress Marisa Tomei gives a rousing performance for their “The People Speak” segment in which she brings new life to the words of Genora Dollinger, a woman who took brave action that day and became known as the “Joan of Arc of Labor.”
