Lee J. Carter was not too happy with Virginia House Republicans when it came to budget priorities.
He tweeted a picture that showed the state GOP’s amendment reducing teacher pay raises by $35 million while giving $34 million to Amazon for its second headquarters.
The budget priorities of @vahousegop in a nutshell:

In response to the giveaway, Carter created a poll on Twitter asking citizens whether they would choose $34 million for Amazon or teacher pay.
The result showed the huge disparity between what the people want and what corporate-backed Republican legislators want:
Let's say, for the sake of discussion, that you could choose what the state did with $34,000,000.
Would you give it to Amazon, or use it to raise teacher pay?
