Trump Threatens to Pull FEMA out of Puerto Rico. Claims that Island Was a “Disaster Before Hurricanes.”

By Sahid Fawaz

President Donald Trump has had many low points in his short presidency. But today’s series of tweets might be his lowest.

He has no problem spending billions on wasteful, ineffective projects like a wall with Mexico. But he has serious reservations about sending crucial aid to American citizens who are suffering from one of the worst natural disasters in our history.

His three tweets this morning speak for themselves. Keep in mind that FEMA has only been in Puerto Rico for a few weeks. Yet Trump is complaining that FEMA can’t stay there “forever.” If you have any friends who are Trump supporters, ask them how they can back a president who treats our fellow citizens this poorly.
