Bourbon, Bon-Bons and Baseball for Father’s Day
The all-knowing makers of the holiday calendar got it right when they positioned National Bourbon Day (June 14) so tantalizingly close to Father’s Day (June 18). They must have known that after a long week of being “Dad,” he would appreciate a snifter of the good stuff, particularly from one of the ethical union bourbon makers on Labor 411’s list. June is also National Candy Month, so you can sweeten up your father with some chocolate that everyone in the family can also enjoy. And, of course, don’t forget the all-American – and all union - sport of baseball on Father’s Day. In our Labor 411 cities, the Phillies, the Athletics and the Angels will all be playing at home to make his special Sunday a home run.
