The Minnesota-based company, 3M, announced on Twitter that it is going to provide 35 million much-needed respirators each month.

The 500,000 initial shipment comes at a critical time for the cities. New York alone has 4,000 new confirmed coronavirus cases since yesterday, bringing the state’s total to 20,000 cases. Seattle has had a little over 1,000 cases, with 75 deaths to date.
Other companies, like automakers, are also promising to produce to respirators, though exact details are not known yet.
