Labor Day weekend is here so let the celebrations begin! If you’re in the Bay Area this Labor Day, there will be plenty of amazing labor-friendly events to take part in. To make your Labor Day planning even easier, Labor 411 has and put together a list of labor-friendly events.
However you may choose to celebrate your Labor Day weekend, remember that Labor Day is dedicated to the plight of workers throughout history and the ongoing fight for equality and justice in the workplace. San Francisco Labor Council Executive Director Tim Paulson is on the front lines helping to lead that fight.
“Labor Day is a time to remember the American workers who fought whole heartedly to secure better, safer working conditions for the men and women of this country,” said Paulson. “The American middle class was built on the successes of the labor movement! As we continue our fight for workers rights, it is pivotal that we shop ethically and support employers that treat their workers fairly.”
And with those words in mind, we hope you will enjoy…
