There’s nothing like a bit of Union action to amp up the wattage at Talen Energy Stadium (TES).
Labor will be in the house at TES for Union Night at the Union on Saturday, July 6. The powerful Philadelphia Union soccer team takes on division rival Orlando City SC at 7 pm with a spectacular post-game fireworks display immediately following the match. And we all know how the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection rocks a pyrotechnics display, particularly around the 4th of July.
The hometown Union are enjoying a bang-up season. The club entered the Gold Cup break leading the Eastern Conference and in second place in the latest edition of MLSSoccer.com’s Power Rankings. The Union leads the conference with 31 goals scored.
The Union is paced by midfielder Ilson Pereira Dias Jr., AKA “Ilsinho” who leads the team in assists (with 5) and is tied for the team lead in goals. “Supersub” Ilsinho has proven himself to be the best attacking substitute in the league. His three goals as a substitute are tied for the MLS league and his five assists as a sub lead the league.
Tickets begin at $24 and discounted rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Groups of 40 or more are eligible to have two representatives on the field for recognition.
