• Support Steelworkers: April 8-14

At Labor 411, we love spreading the word about union-made and American products – and we know you love learning about all those great quality products! So we decided to extend our popular “Buy Union, Buy American” month for last December’s holiday shopping season to “Buy Union, Buy American” weeks that will incorporate union-made into our everyday shopping decisions.

The concept is simple: we will dedicate an entire week to a specific union so that we can highlight the products and services produced by each union’s skilled membership.

We’re kicking off the campaign Monday, April 8, with Steelworkers Week. Each day we will post on Facebook and Twitter a different product made by the Steelworkers. The union has a long and distinguished history as a leader in the labor movement, fighting for many of the gains that we enjoy today such as the 40-hour workweek and workplace safety regulations. And with over 1.2 million active and retired members today, the Steelworkers continue to touch a wide range of industries from health care to glassware to tire manufacturing.

As we spotlight new Steelworker-made goods each day, we hope that it will help you gain a greater awareness of union products so that you can be a better informed consumer on your future shopping trips.
