The world’s richest person seems to have a bit of insecurity or a complex when it comes to the United Automobile Workers.
Seemingly having it all, he goes out of his way to pick fights with the union. Personally, if I was worth over $200 billion, I would be enjoying the money instead of spending my free time going after worker organizations via Twitter.
The latest examples of him lashing out came in the form of two tweets yesterday against the UAW. Bear in mind that last year the National Labor Relations Board ruled against him for his anti-union tweets.
Apparently learning nothing from the NLRB decision, he tweeted yesterday, “UAW slogan – “Fighting for the right to embezzle money from auto workers!” and “The UAW stole millions from workers, whereas Tesla has made many workers millionaires (via stock grants). Subtle, but important difference.”
These tweets were in response to news that a UAW official pleaded guilty to embezzlement.

Maybe Musk can’t help himself because he knows deep down inside that the UAW provides an opportunity for workers to have a seat at the bargaining table with Tesla’s management. And for someone like Musk, that possibility might just be too much for his ego to handle.
