Three Fast Food Restaurant Alternatives to McDonald’s That Pay Their Workers Well

Finding a fast food restaurant that pays workers a decent wage is no easy task. But such restaurants do in fact exist. And they make some of the best burgers in the country. Below are three of our favorites. While they are not located everywhere, they are definitely worth trying out if you’re in the area. Happy eating!
 

1. In-N-Out

Minimum pay: $10.50 an hour.
 
According to In-N-Out’s website, “we start all our new Associates at a minimum of $10.50 an hour for one simple reason…you are important to us! And our commitment to a higher starting wage is just one of the ways in which we show it.”

2. Dicks Drive-in

Minim pay: $10.25 an hour
 
According to the Dick’s Drive In website, “we pay employees at least $10.25 per hour to start” and “offer 100% employer-paid health insurance and employer-subsidized dental insurance to every employee who works at least 24 hours per week (which amounts to over 75% of our employees.)”

3. Moo Cluck Moo

Minimum pay: $12 an hour
 
The Detroit chain Moo Cluck Moo made headlines recently by paying its workers $12 an hour. Cofounder Harry Moorhouse told The Detroit News, “This is too hard a job to pay minimum wage. So far, we haven’t lost any employees and we sleep well at night knowing that.”
