The popular grocery chain, Trader Joe’s, is giving its workers an incentive to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Based in California, which has become one of the COVID hotspots, the company is giving workers two hours pay to get vaccinated.
The company joins other public-facing companies, like Instacart and Dollar General, in providing pay for employees to receive the vaccine.
Other grocery chains are less generous. Albertson’s, which employs over 300,000 workers, says that it has no plans to provide incentives to its workers.
Target said that while it also has no plans to provide paid incentives to its 350,000 workers, it will provide the vaccine to them at no charge.
