Trader Joe’s workers in Hadley, Massachusetts have announced their intent to unionize.

With the growing popularity of unions among retail and food workers – over 60 Starbucks locations are unionized, for example – a union at Trader Joe’s makes sense now more than ever.

Cost of living increases, inflation, a housing crisis, and corporate consolidation is wreaking havoc on workers. For many, a union is the path for the workers to have a meaningful and powerful voice.
