Trump Takes Credit For 450 New GM Jobs, After It Laid Off 14,000. Says “USA IS BOOMING.”

Trump took to Twitter again to jump back into the GM layoff debacle, that has cost 14,000 people their jobs from five closed plants.

We love to see new investment in American car manufacturing as much as anyone. $700 million invested in Ohio is nothing to sneeze at. But for Trump to claim that 450 new jobs is a victory – and to say ‘thank you [GM CEO] Mary B” – is a bit of an insult when the company laid 14,000 employees this year as the CEO got paid $22 million.
