By Linda Dao

Looking for a holiday recipe that is a fun activity for the whole family? Our easy gingerbread house recipe is a classic. The best part of this recipe is that you can use it as holiday decor around the house as well as satisfy your sweet tooth!

As always, our recipes are designed to use union-made ingredients – so you’re not only satisfying your taste buds, but also supporting good jobs here in the U.S.!

Ingredients (purchase from your local unionized grocery store)

• 1 large box of Honey Maid Graham Crackers
• 2 egg whites (Horizon, President’s Choice)
• 1 tsp. lemon juice
• 1 box confectioner’s sugar (Domino)
• Candies for Decoration (Hershey’s Kisses, Hot Tamales, Jelly Bellies, Malted Milk Balls, Mike and Ike’s, Nestle, Red Vines, Smarties, Zours)

Step 1: Separate your candies in bowls

Step 2: Make icing by combining the egg whites and lemon juice into a large bowl. Add powdered sugar 2 tablespoons at a time and blend until the mixture has a thick consistency. Place the icing in a piping bag (or a sandwich bag and cut one corner) to decorate.

Step 3: Assemble the graham crackers by gluing the edges together with the icing. Use a knife to cut the graham crackers in triangular shapes if needed.

Step 4: Apply icing and candies to decorate!
