Union Chef: One Pan Pasta

Looking for a simple yet delicious meal this Valentine’s Day? We have a pasta dish that requires minimal cooking time and less cleanup since everything is cooked in one pan.

As always, our recipes are designed with union-made ingredients and help support good jobs here in the U.S.!

Ingredients (purchase from your local unionized grocery store):

12 oz penne pasta (San Giorgio, Ronzoni)
12 oz cherry tomatoes, halved
5 oz chopped mushrooms
2 sprigs basil leaves
1 chopped red onion, thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. salt (Diamond, Durkee, Morton)
¼ tsp. black pepper (Durkee)
½ tsp. red pepper flakes (Durkee)
¼  cup olive oil (Goya, LouAna, Mazola)
4 ½ cups of water


1. Add all of the ingredients into a pan with 4” sides. Make sure the water is covering all of the ingredients.
2. Turn on the stove up to high heat and boil for 12-15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
3. Stir the ingredients together.
4. Try pairing your meal with a glass of Merlot! (Almaden, CK Mondavi, Franzia)
