Over the years a few diets, or lifestyle changes, have become wildly popular in the US. Many are in essence are a variation of a low-carb diet. A particularly noteworthy one is the Paleo diet, which seeks to emulate the diet during the Paleolithic Era, or Stone Age. The diet is centered on meats and vegetables that would have been hunted or gathered during the era, while avoiding products like processed foods, sugars, and grains.
